We have cleared the walls of onesies and emptied the paper racks of papers old and new.

to scrapbook kits. Everything is marked low to go! The earlier you come, the better the selection so don't wait too long.

New Copic Club!
New Copic club starting in 2010! We are pleased to offer this club for a second year in a row! Certified Copic Instructor, Sherry Czarnecki will be hosting this club once again! She will teach you so many tips and how to’s regarding these amazing markers! Each club payment is $110. This includes all markers and class per quarter. And each quarter you get a marker for free! By the year end, you will have 72 markers in all! This is a great way to get all of the markers you want, but in an affordable way! So if you missed out on last year's club, here is your chance to join!
Here is the schedule as follows:

Other important items are black & brown ink pads, paper distress tool or sandpaper,

black fine-line marker, white gel pen, sponge pad for distressing, corner rounder and any other tools you like to use.

Time is flying! But we are ready.....

Hello friends!
November is flying by and I am seeing Holiday sparkle everywhere! I am thinking about getting a head start on decorating and I need to finish some gifts I've started. If you are low on time and you don't think you can get your gifts started, let us help you with that!

Reserve one of our tables at the shop and work on your projects! As long as there isn't a class scheduled-you are welcome to come in and get to work. Call the store for details and to set up a time that works for you. This is also a great way to spend time with friends so get a group together and schedule a time.

We can also help with the gift part!
Lyn has a great class coming up for gifting giving! She has made another one of her famous calendars and her class for this is coming up this weekend. The project is adorable and you'll have so much fun making this project! This little calendar has it's own acrylic stand. This is another way to spend time with friends-bring them along!

I love creating some of my own decorations for the holidays and I especially love creating garlands! They look perfect over the mantle or a doorway and they add a special touch to your home. And did you know we started a new club?
It's called Clean and Simple Cards, held every Wednesday at 1:00-2:00. These cards are fun, easy and adorable! This is a great way to break up the week, get your friends together for lunch and then come by the shop to create. The more the merrier! Please call ahead so we know how many to expect.

November is here! And I swear I heard Christmas music on the radio today!! No-not yet! I still need to get Halloween taken down! But...It is a great time to start Christmas projects because we all know there is no time for gift making in December! We have a fabulous line up of classes to help in that area and a Gift certificate special going on from now until December 24th.

Holiday Nifty Gifties - $40 with Lyn
This four hour class is the answer to all your gift giving dilemmas. You will create 4 basic seasonal cards that can be easily replicated. Next, it’s all about packaging those cards in a number of creative ways from tins to boxes. Finally, we’ll go to the kitchen and package up some wholesome goodness complete with recipe cards and tags. We’ve got you totally covered this holiday season!

Ornamental Buffet-$40 with Cari
Let’s get together and create some beautiful ornaments for the holidays! These will make the most wonderful gifts and we’ll have so much fun making them!
This class will be buffet style where you get to choose from an array of goodies to embellish your ornaments—glitter, flowers, papers, ribbons, gems and more!

Holiday Open House Card Contest Winners


















Holiday drum roll please ..... the First Prize Winner is Kathleen Coccia with her golden "Happy Thanksgiving" card. Kathleen embossed gold leaves & acorns that she cut and popped on a field of stamped leaves then layered this image to a metallic hounds tooth paper for a perfect mix. Woo!

Also a winner is Denise for her "Lovely Red Doors Digital Holiday". Denise took a photo of her parent's church on James Street then filled in every pixel to make this graphic black & white memorable card.

"Prettiest" goes to our sweet Heidi Ratliff who created a contemporary snowy night with dry embossed trees and Old English styled words of Christmas Joy. (no pink anywhere?? Heidi)

"Most Creative" goes to Marion Casolare for her "Winter Eyes". If you know Marion's work, she always creates cards that make you smile and inspect the card just to see what she used and how. By the way...those are mulberry eyes.

"Darn Cutest" tag card goes to Tanya Kopley who stamped a snowman that can be easily used for a present later.
We also want to mention C. Redhead for her lovely card too.

Open House-Huge success!

Hello all!
We had a great time today and we want to thank everyone that came to our Open House...we had four free make and takes going as well as Judy Becker's amazing baked treats! Thank you Judy for spoiling us with your gift of baking! Bryan wanted me to tell you he loved the Gingersnaps I brought home-he says "Thanks! They are awesome!"

There were a lot of amazing cards dropped off for our contest-it will be so hard to choose. We have so many talented customers! We hope to make this tough decision very soon. We'll contact the winner and we will announce it here on the blog so stay tuned for that shortly.

I will be in trouble once again because I just placed another order with Prima. I will let you all know when the goodies arrive! I ordered Pearls and Gems, stamps, papers and of course-more flowers. Hopefully, they will get here soon!

Stamping Bella Stamps are in and they are flying off the shelves! Kathy made some adorable cards and we plan to share them here on the blog soon.

Sherry's calendar class is tomorrow and it is adorable! A perfect gift for the Holidays! I am thinking of coming in to take it myself. i know plenty of teachers that would love it for their desks at school.

Another exciting workshop is planned that takes us through the seasonal themes of fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas and winter. It’s all about card making, card giving, card designing, card techniques, card folding, and generally, fresh and new made just for you. Our two projects will focus on gift giving and sharing with others. Your day will be filled with fun making 25 cards and two projects. Do you recycle? Well, in the spirit of "going green", this class will teach you how to use materials around the house to make some of your very own handmade papers. We will explore making the paper pulp, color, additives, painting with paper pulp, molding pulp for dimension, and more! This is recycling at it's best and it's creative!! You can use your papers in journals,on scrapbook pages, cards, and framed as artwork!

Copic Club Technique Class- with Sherry

A 1 hour class taught to those of you who have joined the copic marker club, this is a quick technique class that teaches you how to use your copic markers in all types of “a musing” ways!

It's summer time! And even if you're not jetting off to an exotic location, you can still take a summer vacation ... with A Muse! Come create 5 cards and enjoy yourself!

Do you recycle? Well, in the spirit of "going green", this class will teach you how to use materials around the house to make some of your very own handmade papers. We will explore making the paper pulp, color, additives, painting with paper pulp, molding pulp for dimension, and more! This is recycling at it's best and it's creative!! You can use your papers in journals,
on scrapbook pages, cards, and framed as artwork!

Beginning Scrapbooking Class this Thursday


Learn the very basics such as, what tools to have, adhesive choices, differences in paper, journaling and embellishments. You will also learn how and why to crop photos. We will complete a layout too!

Christmas In July Cards For Heroes!!

Lyn has a great night planned for stamp club tonight! Come if you can!

It’s Christmas in July and Paper Arts Club of CNY is participating in the Cards for Heroes event that is being celebrated by paper arts clubs, shops and groups everywhere!
Join us on Club night this Wed., July 22 from 6:30-8:30 pm for an evening of cards, cards, cards!
Make as many Christmas cards as you can for this worthwhile organization. Club dues are only $3 for this meeting only. Anyone who participates at the meeting will receive a free stamp from our special bin selection.
Call the Shoppe to reserve your seat at (315) 633-5325.All materials will be provided.
Bring your Basic Kit, especially a black inkpad, adhesives and any favorite Christmas stamp(s) you want to work with. Many stamps will be available from my stash along with brand new purchases! We will be making 4-1/4x 5-1/2 size (A2) and smaller. Envelopes will be provided.

Can’t come to Club on the 22nd? Make cards at home and drop off to the Shoppe by Saturday, August 8th.
Some guidelines if you make some on your own:
No glitter please!
Card size must be A2
They can be lumpy!
You can write your name and address on the back of the card if you wish
Make sure inside of card has a light colored cardstock liner-they usually have pencils or bic pens to write with.
You can make many of one design!
No store bought cards.

Lyn's Recipe Book Class...

Hello All!
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
We are having a great time at the Nationals--great people and amazing cars!!
And we'll be heading to CHA soon! I've seen some sneak peeks of some amazing stuff that's coming out--can't wait!

Look at this adorable mini Lyn has made! This is her class coming up on the 26th. Here are the details:

Lynnies Minis: What’s Cookin’?- Fee: $30
A totally whimsical (the fun wood spoon attachment) and nostalgic (Webster’s Pages Sweet As Cherry Pie papers) recipe book to hold special recipes. We will construct an acrylic covered book with ten pages that can easily expand as needed. Every two page segment is uniquely designed with pockets to hold cute custom-designed recipe cards. You will be given the recipe card original for additional cards. Keep this darling book for yourself or give as a gift. You’ll just love the clever wooden spoon attachment!

Nationals, New Product and More!

Hello!!
We've been so busy at the store and we'll stay busy through the weekend!
We are headed to the Nationals at the fairgrounds this weekend! We have a booth in the Women's building with Calico Gals of Fayetteville. There will be sewing and stamping going on in the same booth!
We have a great make and take that you'll love--sew with the Calico Gals and Stamp with us all on the same project! Tons of great stuff in the booth for stampers and quilters!

A card that never ends ! Class


On Friday, July 31 at 1:oo pm, Chris Tarbania will be teaching a card that flips and turns (kinda inside out??) It's really neat, everyone will be amazed. Use your stamps and paper and be challenged!

A Muse A Palooza is almost here!

Hello friends!
I can't believe A Muse A Palooza is almost here-I am so excited to share the newly released images in just a couple of days! Some of the images are classic A Muse style and some may surprise you! A little different from what they "normally" come out with-so awesome! Thats all I can say about them for now.
And Sher came over yesterday-I helped her with some of the class preparation--talk about amazing ideas and projects! WOW!

Just a Reminder...


As we get closer the holiday weekend, we wanted to remind everyone that we will be closed on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th! We are looking forward to a fun weekend of cookouts and fireworks! So with that said-if you need anything be sure to stop in by Friday.
We are getting geared up for A Muse A Palooza- we can't wait to share the new images with you! Here are some adorable winter cards that are similar to the ones you'll be creating in some of the classes BUT, these are not the new images! I can just see the new ones working perfectly with these cards... Sherry has some amazing classes lined up for this event. So many great ideas rolled into one day!
A Muse makes small stamp images, perfect for customizing your own little scenes, creating simple and easy cards or cute tags. The images are small enough to create your own backgrounds too. And they are big enough to color in and decorate with glitter and more.
They have the cutest stamps-I love them all! They go great with a variety of punches too..

I also wanted to share some summer cards that Sher made using A Muse stamps-LOVE them! We have all of the stamps to get you started for these cards as well! Oh, and the papers too!

A Muse A Palooza, Nationals and more!!!

It's that time of year again! Our store is participating in this 4th annual A Muse Event!

There are 50 stores participating around the world and we are one of them! Amazing stamp images are coming our way for Christmas and we will have them before the general public! How cool is that? Bring some paint brushes, a water cup, and a palette or large plastic lid.

Gorgeous weather we've been having! School is winding down and summer is just around the corner! I can't wait! I have a few scrappy projects I plan to get done-how about you?

Lyn's Paper Arts Club got together last Wednesday-they always have a great time! It's our monthly stamp club that meets on the last Wednesday of every month. A Muse A Palooza!!!
That's right! We are participating in this fun event for the second year in a row! We will get the new Christmas releases before the general public and they are so sweet! We are going to do the class format differently this year-no stamps included with the classes--just the cards and fun techniques. And we will have free make and takes plus prizes to give away! Sherry will be our A Muse Hostess so you know the classes will be fun, informative and unique---to say the least!

Syracuse Nationals-We'll be there!!!
We will have a booth at the Nationals with the Calico Gals of Fayetteville! Two favorite hobbies in one booth! While the guys are showing off their amazing cars, we will have something for the ladies to do. Make and takes, fun car themed products and more!

Birdhouse Template Fun with Lyn
Using Basic Grey Periphery papers, you will construct a lovely 3D birdhouse project that makes a fun home décor tablescape or a nifty gifty for candy or a gift card. Not only will you create the birdhouse from a simple template, you will decorate the little jewelry box that it sits on. Part of this class is fussy cutting, so bring your little pointy scissors.

Eye Candy! I wanted to share some gorgeous layouts made by Amy Harle featuring Basic Grey Porcelain Line. We have this entire line at the shop and it is so versatile. I just love the watercolor look the papers have and Amy has made them look even more outstanding on her layouts!
